Ladybug: La Vie en Rose

I was delighted to capture the adorable moment when this ladybug posed for me among the roses before wings fluttered and flight ensued in the blink of an eye.

Even after five years of high school French (eons ago – ha ha! ok, maybe just decades ago), I had to look up the meaning behind this saying, though I knew it was a fitting caption for this photo. Consider some of the following translations and ponder where you might discover joy in unexpected (though possibly familiar) places during this “stay at home” time:

  • Life in happy hues
  • Life through rose-colored glasses
  • Life seen through happy lenses
  • Life in rosy hues
  • Life in pink

“1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.”
(Isaiah 35:1-2)
