👉🏽Get ready for the ride and embrace the gift of the journey – there’s suspense, intrigue, drama…and redirection!↪️ This one’s FUNNY!😂
😑ALMOST as funny as my face when I saw the sign declaring, “Freshly made hand-breaded chicken tenders”…at a GAS station?!😵💫 I don’t think so!🧐🫣🤐 #100DaysUNcurated#ShowUpImperfect#WritingWithGod✒️
If you haven’t checked out my Substack yet, what are you waiting for? I’m having a BLAST writing on the platform and making new connections!✨️
February 18–20, writers from around the country will gather virtually to learn from Ann Voskamp, Ruth Chou Simmons, and our incredible Hope*Story workshop faculty. Together, we’ll dive into what it means to write with depth, beauty, and bold faith in 2026.
If you’ve felt stuck… If you’ve questioned your voice… If you’ve wondered whether your story really matters…
This summit was created with you in mind.
There are multiple options available to help you grow at your own pace and take your writing further than you ever imagined.
Gently draped over my neighborhood, a blanket of snow covers us with peace.
Inviting us to stay in and cozy up to our Creator.
Reveling in His majestic splendor.
Giving Him glory for the magnificence of a conglomeration of single unique entities (snowflakes ❄️) united to bring a hush to the hustle, respite to the restless, and calm to the chaotic.
A snow day doesn’t mean we’re stuck – it’s an opportunity to rest and reset in the presence of the One Who will set our pace…if we yield to HIS leading.
Celebrating His intentional awesomeness and detailed intricate design woven into the fabric of ALL He created…
Blessings, Kayren
UPDATE: A few hours after initially capturing this post, I think we’ve got close to a foot of snow…and counting! I LOVE watching the snow fall (from inside)…check out this throwback post on the reason why…
“He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.” (Psalm 147:16, KJV)
“He gives [to the earth] snow like[a blanketof] wool; He scatters the frost like ashes.” (Psalm 147:16, AMP)
Bridging the chasm between faith and receiving the promise…
❄️I’m talking about a snow forecast, but also a blessing forecast. Bridging the chasm between faith and receiving the promise.
👉🏽How many times do we question whether God’s gonna do what He said?
Just me? 🤔
Maybe – but I doubt it.
Seriously…we know that’s not productive thinking because He fulfills His promises. Our issue as humans may be with His timing.
The more I study God’s Word, the more I see His pattern incorporates patience, cycles, and generations. That requires TIME. And often WAITING.
After all, He IS in control…
Pray with me:
Teach us Lord to wait patiently on You for the fulfillment of Your divine plan. Let us not be agitated or anxious as You prepare all things to work out for our good. Amen.
Blessings, Kayren
“1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:1-2, KJV)
“6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” (Philippians 4:6-7, MSG)
My precious sister, I’m setting 30 minutes aside to show up and invite the presence of the Lord to speak to us – through prayer, scripture, and whatever else He has in store for us. You are welcome – come for a refreshing!
A friend asked if I’d like to share during this 31-day journey through Proverbs 31 – I said YES! I’m sharing on Thursday, 12/4 (Proverbs 4) and Friday, 12/5 (Proverbs 5), but I look forward to unwrapping the gift of God’s Word each day of December 2025. We start with Proverbs 1 on Monday, December 1 – YAY!
You’re welcome to join me each morning on Zoom (beginning promptly at 7am ET/6am CT) as we gather to reflect, grow, and encourage one another as women of wisdom, strength, and virtue.
Plan to join 5 minutes early to get settled, then we’ll dig into the Word and move into prayer…just half an hour to get your day started!
NOTE: I am NOT an early-bird, so I KNOW it was the Lord gently nudging me to accept this assignment – LOL! I have a joyful expectancy of what He has in store as I build my consistency and discipline with time set apart in His Word.
🤔Have you been oh-so-intently watching others do what God has called YOU to do in this season? Asking for a friend…👀
Nothing wrong with watching and imitating…Paul exhorts us in I Corinthians 11:1, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
But watching without intent to take your own obedient action is just…wrong.
Why? Because delayed obedience = disobedience.
Let’s sit with that for a minute. Or two…
I was convicted. 🤯 I repented. 🙏🏽 I’m starting now. 😇
👉 Join me LIVE on YouTube in The Convo Lab for “Let’s Talk About Spiritual Voyeurism” at 6pm ET tonight (Thursday, 9/11/25) and pursue taking the next right step according to God’s Word.
“Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
(Philippians 4:9, KJV)
“Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.”
Have you become unrecognizable as a new creature in Christ?🦋
You know how the smartphone lockscreen has the facial recognition feature?
Well, mine recently said, “Face doesn’t match” – like who else is gonna be logging into my phone but me? 👀😬😘😵💫 (don’t get me started on hackers…#Rude&Inconsiderate😡)
But it reminded me how we’re new creatures in Christ – old things are passed away.
So maybe that face shouldn’t match anymore after all…#NewIdentity
Blessings as we learn who we REALLY are in Christ, Kayren
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17)
