Women Walking with Wisdom

During this time of pandemic, I’ve been abundantly blessed to discover some real treasure in my neighborhood – women who embody wisdom in how they approach whatever life throws at them. I’ve been enriched by being in their presence. While we’re walking for physical exercise, we’re building spiritual muscle as well.

Prayerfully consider if there are people in YOUR sphere of influence that God wants you to learn from and share His wisdom with. Never underestimate the power of women walking in the wisdom of God! #IronSharpensIron

“7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.”
(Proverbs 4:7-9)

Meekness Defined

What comes to mind when you hear the word meekness? Would you describe meekness as one of your character traits? Would others?

“Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.”
(Zephaniah 2:3)

Meekness is power under control. The ability to embody and display meekness is a sign of great STRENGTH. How’s your meekness quotient this week? I know I have plenty of room for growth!

Adorned

We can choose to put on a meek and quiet spirit daily…just like jewelry or an outfit. Something beautiful to consider!

“3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”
(I Peter 3:3-4)

Self-care is NOT Selfish!

How on EARTH can we think about properly loving others (in a healthy, balanced way) if we don’t love ourselves by taking care of our temples – both inside and out?!

‘Nuff said!!! #MicDrop #PermissionGranted #SelfCareIsNOTSelfish

“30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
(Mark 12:30-31)

Go From Don’t Wanna to DONE!

Am I the only one who feels like this sometimes? It’s a process for sure, but I’m ready to make PROGRESS into productivity. How will YOU break the cycle of start/stop/begin again/get distracted/restart?

“Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.”
