Merciful Kindness

Serve others

What a beautiful gift! It just rolls off the tongue when you say it aloud – and you can’t help but to smile.

There’s even a Psalms 117 song to help you remember and meditate on this scripture passage – I already added it to my playlist!!! Yep – it’s on repeat…

May we lavishly bestow merciful kindness upon others today as we have abundantly received.

Blessings, Kayren

“1 O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.”

(Psalm 117:1-2)

In the Press

Develop your productivity under pressure…

Each test develops our testimony. It’s designed to teach us what we’ve learned, and to expose areas we need to work on.

Can you relate?

Admittedly, it doesn’t always feel good.

Yet, we build muscle, skill, acumen, and endurance as we encounter resistance and learn to fight.

I can’t say I voluntarily signed up for my current course, but God has fitted this set of tests just for me. So I’m pressing to obtain the prize.

No need to waste your suffering, pain, and tribulation – let it produce some peaceable fruit of righteousness!

Stay encouraged, Kayren

“13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 3:13-14)

Missing the Boat?

Because or FOR a cause

It’s a process, but God is delivering me from FOMO (fear of missing out) – and I couldn’t be more grateful!

I realized I’d be just fine if I let a recent opportunity presented in my inbox pass me by.

That may seem like a small thing, but when I see shiny objects, I tend to reach.

Read about what I consider an UN-Gift🚫🎁👎

But I guess my discipline is kicking in with maturity. (About time!)😂 Because I realize that even if I wanted to, I don’t have the capacity to consume everything that comes my way.

So I’m learning to be at peace while letting a perceived gift/treat/offer go by. This is a new phase of my spiritual walk, and I welcome it! Because it’s neither productive nor fruitful being led by your natural desires – gotta get the mastery.

Gotta kill that lust or it’ll lead ya astray…

Blessings, Kayren 🙏🏽😇

“12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

(James 1:12-17)

Upgrade the Soundtrack of Your Life

Fabulous Friday!

People and circumstances no longer serving us in this season can be deleted from our current playlist…#UNapologetic #Growth #Maturity

You know how you have a favorite playlist, and sometimes you roll up on a song you don’t love as much anymore, and you remove it?

Yep. That’s what we’re gonna do today. All in love.

Ready…set…GROW…

Blessings, Kayren

“3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”

Reporting for Duty

Do it now, don't delay

When God nudges, do you respond?

And if so, when?

I’m working on shortening my response time. I used to pretend I didn’t hear Him. Ridiculous – I know.

That escalated to pretending that it would be OK as long as I obeyed…LATER.

Do we see a theme here? Pretending and NOT walking in truth, but delusion.

I’m mature enough to know now that delayed obedience = DISOBEDIENCE.

And being on the opposite side of God is super UNcool. So I’m not doing that anymore.

Even if it means getting up the first time He nudges me at 4am. (full disclosure: I’m a natural night owl and NOT a morning person – even after being married to a morning person for over 2 decades).

God really doesn’t care about our comfort zones when it comes to obeying His instructions. So let’s goooooo…it’s time!

Blessings, Kayren

“22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”

Nevertheless…

Season created by prayer

Recalculating! Just like the GPS says when we take an unprescribed route… 🧭

We read in earlier verses of Psalm 106 how God’s people veered from His intended path. Yet, He responded with a “nevertheless.”

And in spite of all the “stuff” that makes up your life story (and trust me, we’ve ALL got STUFF!), God still has a “nevertheless” for you.

I dare you to allow God’s “nevertheless” to carry you from the place of praise into the wondrous awe of worship in His presence. 👑

Let’s press on to see what the end will be – it is indeed glorious when we walk in obedience to His will and His way!🌟

Blessings, Kayren

“8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

44 Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:

45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.

47 Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.

48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.”

What Have I Done?

9-1-1 Emergency

What is MY part in the circumstances and consequences?

When we honestly and objectively evaluate where we are, we realize and admit that our hands aren’t as clean as we’d like to believe. 🤔

Read today’s passage and allow God to speak to your heart about areas that could use some cleansing.

Deliverance is available through Jesus.🙏🏽 #Grateful

He is closer than you think. Draw nigh.

Blessings, Kayren

“34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them:

35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.

36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.

37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.

42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.”

Don’t Forget!

The Transformed Mind

Take an honest assessment of your current position.

Not where you wanna be, but where you are. Right now. At this precise moment in time.

If you’re out of alignment with God’s will, repent and make the adjustment to turn around and walk according to HIS righteousness. I’m grateful that U-turns are allowed – and even encouraged!

Because we have no righteousness of our own.💯

It’s easy to forget the amazing work He’s done for us. ✝️ #HolyWeek

Sincere gratitude to a merciful and loving God is expressed through true worship.

Let’s not forget!

👉🏽p.s. If you’d like to join me for worship today at 10am ET (via livestream or in person if you’re in the Charlotte, NC area), you are welcome! I’ll be singing🎵 and my hubby is preaching…I’ve peeped the message and it’s a timely one…🙌🏽

Blessings, Kayren

“13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.

23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:

25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord.

26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

27 To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.”

About Those Haters

I choose therapy

“Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord…” We’ve heard this scripture, but it’s important to take it in context of the entire verse AND the surrounding verses:

“17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

(Romans 12:17-21)

Admit it: We like it when those who persecute us “get it.” 💪🏽

We may not cheer and throw confetti…but we’re not shedding any tears, either. IJS.😯

But it doesn’t feel so great when the the shoe is on the other foot. Cuz sometimes WE ARE THE HATERS.🤯 <gasp!>

Then, we’re grateful for the merciful side of our just, righteous, and holy God.

Just a check-in to make sure we’re on the Lord’s side today…because He will repay!

Blessings, Kayren

“10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.”

Provoking God

Take the meds

provoke (verb) – to be bitter; to rebel or resist; to disobey; to be contentious (H4784)

People test us and try our patience all the time. <moment of silence…and Amen.> 🙏🏽

And yet, we provoke God.

It wasn’t just “the folk in the Bible days.”

We – as the beings God created for unbroken fellowship with Him and to bring Him glory – do the same thing.

Why would we even?!?! 🫣

👉🏽Read today’s passage (slowly, with emphasis, and out loud in front of a mirror if you’re super-brave).

Let’s quit the foolishness. It’s time out for nonsense.⏳️

It’s time to be about our Father’s business of living and loving. I’m sure you agree that there’s more than a-plenty work to be done!

Blessings, Kayren

“6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.”
