Prepping for Success

Twas the night before breakfast…

This is what my healthy breakfast looks like at 10pm the prior night. When I DON’T plan ahead, I may fall into the trap of convenience (that looks a lot like leftover from lunch tater tots and ketchup, or whatever I can grab quickly between meetings). Then I’m grouchy and hangry because I unwisely picked something that neither satisfied nor adequately nourished me. Can you relate?😏

Advance preparation helps set us up for success. What are some healthy habits YOU can’t afford to skip? Drop me a comment! #BetterEveryDay #WorkInProgress #SuccessIsMyChoice

“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.”

(Exodus 23:20)

“So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.”

Scarcity, Enough, or Plenty?

More than enough…LOL

Am I the only one who knew this amount of peanut butter was MORE than sufficient for (at LEAST) another sandwich?!?🀣 I CAN’T be the only one! LOL

Seriously, in 20 years of marriage, some of my biggest gasps (& protests!) have come from my wonderful hubby throwing out something I still deemed as having potential use. Obviously, I’m the only resident who sees the value (necessity) in scraping the bottom (& sides!) of the peanut butter jar…or has the patience to do so.😜

Too many times in the past, I’ve talked myself outta stuff that I KNOW would add joy & delight because I thought:

🚫 I don’t really NEED it (but it’s reasonable, I work hard to handle my bizness, & it’s a nice treat/reward)

🚫 I can come back & get it later (later never comes)

🚫 I’m being frugal & responsible (TRUTH? I was being CHEAP and dealing with ⚠️TOXIC☒ money mindset emotional baggage & fear of lack)

πŸ”† Today, I choose JOY! Life, peace, delight, and abundance…YES to ALL of that – and then some! GOD is my Provider; He owns the cattle on 1,000 hills – & that’s a LOTTA beef!πŸ„πŸ‚πŸƒπŸ€£

Being frugal with wisdom and good stewardship is a positive quality. But when it becomes restrictive to the point of near-debilitation and you’re not enjoying life, it’s time for some reflection and self-evaluation.πŸ€” IJS…I know from experience!😯 I’m praying for you to embrace and walk in the abundant life Christ died for us to have.πŸ˜‡ Blessings, Kayren

TRUTH is one size fits ALL. So what are YOU wearing today? #Selah #SelfCheckΒ Β

β€œFor there is no respect of persons with God.”

β€œBut the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”

Why We Be Tryin’ To Explain?

YES is also a complete sentence! I’m learning that I don’t always have to justify or explain myself. Most folks just aren’t that interested in our reasons or in our reasoning. So free yourself and keep it movin’ with the joy of the Lord! We can say YES with a smile and the love of Christ! #PermissionGranted #ButIWasACommunicationsMajor #SouthernBelle

β€œBut let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”

The Guilt-Free NO

It took me decades (literally) to learn this lesson, but when I finally internalized it, I was empowered: NO is a complete sentence. #unapologetic #ButIWasACommunicationsMajor

If you’re honest with yourself, you probably can’t count the times you’ve SAID one thing with your mouth, but really felt a different way on the inside. Or am I really the only one?!? Today, let’s walk in the light of TRUTH and cut out the inner conflict, guilt, remorse, resentment, and angst. We can say NO with the love of Christ! #PermissionGranted

β€œAll you need to say is simply β€˜Yes’ or β€˜No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one”

And Again I Say

Once more for good measure; I’m saying it a third time until we EMBRACE it for ourselves…

Sometimes we say YES to ourselves by saying NO to something (or someone) else. Conversely, sometimes we say NO to ourselves by saying YES to something (or someone) else. #Simplify&Streamline

β€œAll you need to say is simply β€˜Yes’ or β€˜No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.”

(Matthew 5:37, NIV)

This Bears Repeating

Nope, you’re not seeing double; I’m saying it AGAIN until we believe it for ourselves…

Be Intentionally Selective

Sometimes we say YES to ourselves by saying NO to something (or someone) else. As a recovering people-pleaser (read more about PPD – People Pleasing Disorder), I’m learning to proactively practice setting healthy boundaries. Some days I do better honoring those boundaries than others! Choosing to intentionally β€œsay yes to nothing else” for a given timeframe helps me filter out unnecessary commitments – or at least identify them. Then I’m in a better position to handle what’s already on my plate. #Simplify&Streamline #Unapologetic #SelfCareIsNOTselfish

I’d love for you to drop me a comment to share how you choose wisely between priorities that compete for your time, energy, and focus! Blessings, Kayren
